Disney Galley Necklace (signed)

Sold

Does anyone remember the Disney Gallery?  A big step up from the regular Disney Stores, they requisitioned art with a Disney twist  from various artists.  They had the most wonderful assortment of items, things from $20 right up in to the thousands of dollars.

What we have here is a silver colored metal necklace, hand attached to a signed card by Lynda Angelis.  You can enlarge the photo to read the details of the piece.  Although Lynda is primarily a photographer, this was hand assembled by her, then signed, exclusively for the Disney Gallery Stores.  The card is not pristine, not a total wreck, but not mint.  The necklace is in fine shape.

$20 plus actual shipping

Large Jiminy Cricket Figure

Sold

You can talk about limited editions, but then there are pieces like this, produced for one run, then never seen again.  I LOVE these kind of pieces.

I must have purchased this at either the Disney Store or the park (most likely the store).  I found it in a box, packed away with other things from the mid to late 1990s, so I assume (but cannot guarantee) that he's from that time period.

He stands a full nine inches tall and is made of resin.  Standing on a box of matches, he obviously isn't tpo scale, but all the better to see all his detail!

He has been kept away, wrapped in clean tissue  for all these years, pristine and undisplayed.

Vintage Disneyland Tinker Bell and Castle Salt and Pepper 1950s

Sold

Back from the early days of Disneyland (as evidenced by the turquoise triangle Walt Disney Productions mark) this bell shaped set of salt and pepper shakers have Tinker Bell on one and a stylized Sleeping Beauty Castle on the other.

As you can see, the word Disneyland is printed in gold, using the early scrip, on the back of the shakers.  Both also still have their original paper Japan labels.

Asking $27 plus shipping and insurance.

Original Figment Prototype-Concept for Collectable

Sold

This is one of the coolest things I've ever gotten at a Disney Convention!

In 1993, the 2nd official Disneyana convention was held at the Disneyland Hotel in Anaheim.  They had what they called a garage sale, featuring drawings, items that had been used in the parks and an assortment of concept sculptures.

I fell in love with this prototype, an eight inch tall  sculpt for some kind of a Figment piece.  Perhaps it ended up as a ceramic piece or maybe a bank, or even a large PVC?  I have no way of knowing, but it is quite adorable, and a one of a kind I am sure.  Asking $150 plus actual shipping and insurance.

1988 Mickey Flashing Pin

Sold

From the 60th anniversary of the creation of Mickey Mouse, this is one of the very first flasher pins ever released.

Listed as pin number 1593 on PinPics, it is still in its original packaging and has never been opened, so I cannot verify if the flasher still works (but the packaging states that there are extra batteries included).  Marked copyright 1987 the Walt Disney Company.

If you are viewing this on the blog, you can click on the image for a larger clearer picture.

Asking $35 plus shipping and insurance.

1980 Disneyland Snifter

Sold

Now here's a true vintage piece,  from the 25th anniversary of Disneyland in 1980.

An amazing party, it was one of the first times they kept the park open for a full 25 hours (and yes, I was there and got to spend the entire night in the park.  Sunrise in the hub is one of my fondest memories . . .)

Anyhow, this was sold in Arribas Brothers on Main Street.  Made of flash glass (glass which has two layers of color, in this case red and clear) it shows Mickey and Minnie celebrating the anniversary of Disneyland.  The tiny Walt Disney Productions you see in the photo is a clear plastic label that s affixed to the bottom.

The size of as regular brandy snifter, it stands seven and three quarters inches high and six inches at its widest point.  In perfect condition, no nicks, chips or cracks.

Asking $40 plus shipping and insurance.

Ian Fraser Disneyland Sleeping Beauty Castle, Signed 1997

Sold

One of the most detailed versions of the Sleeping Beauty Castle ever made, this is such a lovely piece that really, pictures cannot do it justice.  These were originally sculpted for the 40th Anniversary of Disneyland, and were sold for several years after that, but have long ago been discontinued.

I wish you could see this in person, because it's so perfect, right down to the drawbridge and the coutyard  in the rear.  From the photo, it's hard to imagine that this piece measures only three and one half by five inches, and stands a mere three inches tall.

I purchased this in Disneyland on April 18, 1997 when Mr Fraser was making a personal appearance.  As you can see in the photo it has been hand signed to Kate and Terry with the date and signature.

This will be shipped in its original box, complete with styrofoam block, just as we purchased it.

Original cost was $95, asking $150 plus postage and insurance.

1990s Disney News AM/FM Radio

Sold

I got this in the 1990s, a promotion from the now defunct (at least I believe it's no longer being published) Disney News.  Shaped like and old time announcers Microphone, but with Mouse Ears, it's a battery operated AM/FM radio.

A really cute display piece, rare to find, it has a large red logo that reads "Disney News" right between the ears.  There's also a logo that reads "since 1965" which leads me to believe this is from 1995, a 30th anniversary commemorative.

$50 plus shipping and insurance.

Disneyland Small World Music Box Walt Disney Productions

Sold

From the old days, this is from Disneyland's Small World and features the characters created by Mary Blair.

In good condition, there are some light marks on it, but I would call it 90-95% good.  I have lost the key, so I can't say if the music box still works, but considering the good condition, I would think it would (if you can find a  key from another music box).

These haven't been available for years, marked Walt Disney Productions, Made in Japan.

$20 plus actual shipping and Insurance.

Tinker Bell Perfume Bottle

Sold

I bought this some time back in the 1990s in Disneyland, most likely at Arribas Brothers on Main Street.  The bottom is a cobalt blue handblown perfume bottle and the stopper (which has a perfume dauber attached) has a beautiful little Tinker bell.

It measures 4 3/8 inches high to the top of her head  and Tink is 1 1/2 inches tall.  She's marked  copyright Disney on the back of one of her wings.  If you're viewing the photo on the blog, you can click on the photo and see her in great detail.

$50 plus shipping and insurance.

Disney Studio Wine Stopper, Mickey Mouse

Sold

I got this at the Studio back in the day when there were virtually NO alcoholic "collectables".  I just thought it was so cool.  That said, I don't drink wine and have never used it!  As you can see, it depicts Mickey with a movie clapboard sitting atop a cork.  Walt Disney Studios is written (in Disney script of course) around the base.  This is a very heavy piece, I'm assuming it's pewter, but the painting is a baked on enamel.

As you can see I paid $55 for it, selling for $40 plus postage and insurance.

Huge Maleficint Dragon Plush

 Sold

This was released when Fantasmic! first debuted at Disneyland.  A wonderful plush, very true to the character in the film, the dragon is made of a velvet like material.  I love Malificent when she's in her cloak, but when she's the dragon, she's really scary!

This has never been displayed, but has been kept in a bag since purchase.  It stands an impressive twenty inches long.

$40 plus actual shipping and insurance.

Large Skull Rock Bank (Peter Pan)

Sold

A very realistic depiction of Skull Rock from Peter Pan (though in my heart, I will always remember it from Fantasyland).  Purchased from the Disney Store in the mid 1990s, it completes any scene from Peter Pan, wonderful in your display case!  It's made of a sort of soft rigid plastic.

Asking $20 plus actual postage and insurance.

Disneyland Hotel Spirits and Gourmet Shoppe Shot Glass

This has been sold

Back in the 1970s, there was a shop at the Disneyland Hotel called the "Spirits and Gourmet Shoppe at the Disneyland Hotel".

This is an exceptionally heavy shot glass from that shop with no nicks, chips or cracks.

Asking $20 plus actual shipping and insurance.

Disneyland Donald Duck 50th Birthday Lamp Post Sgn

Sold!

Back in the day, Disneyland used to make up signs for the lamp posts around the park.  Then when the event was over, they would show up at various Disney shows and sales around Anaheim.  This one was actually used in Disneyland for the 50th birthday of Donald Duck.

Disneyland had quite a few events around this momentous occasion, and this sign is just one of the pieces we have in our collection.  My favorite memory from the event was when they had 50 baby ducks follow Donald down Main Street USA!  Quite a parade, and good memories, I can tell you!

This is painted on a heavy board, made to withstand the elements (I know, because I still have a similar Teddi Beara on my garden wall that has been there for over 25 years and she hasn't faded a bit).  That said, this sign has hung on the wall in my living room for close to 30 years.  It measures almost 17 inches tall and 16 inches wide.

A truly rare piece of memorabilia for either the Disneyland or Donald Duck collector.  Asking price $100 plus actual shipping and insurance.

Snow White Porcelain Doll with Brass Key

This piece has been sold

Standing just about 16 inches tall, this is a lovely porcelain doll of Snow White.  While not in her usual yellow and blue frock, she is undeniably Disney's first Princess.  There is a Disney copyright on the back of her neck.  I know she is at least ten years old, and she has a brass key hanging from her hand.

This is an unretouched photo of the actual doll I am selling.

She comes as is, with no box, but there is a stand that holds her up and it has her name written on it.

I also have a Cindreella doll from the same line.  I'm asking $30 each or if you buy both, $50 for the pair.  Actual shipping and insurance will also be added to the price.

Cinderella Porcelain Doll with Brass Key

This piece has been sold

Standing just about 16 inches tall, this is one of the nicer representations I've seen of Cinderella.  At least they attempted to make it look like the character in the film! She is made of porcelain and is complete with rhinestone jewelry.  There is a Disney copyright on the back of her neck.  I know she is at least ten years old, and she has a brass key hanging from her hand.

There are a couple of small (very small) spots on the front of her dress.  Feel free to enlarge the photo and I bet you wont even see it!  This is an unretouched photo of the actual doll I am selling.

She comes as is, with no box, but there is a stand that holds her up and it has her name written on it.

I also have a Snow White doll from the same line.  I'm asking $30 each or if you buy both, $50 for the pair.  Actual shipping and insurance will also be added to the price.

Tinker Bell in Glass Bell Jar, Arribas Brothers Disneyland

This has been sold.

This is a really sweet little Tinker Bell, trapped inside a glass bell jar.  Placed on a golden base, there are rhinestones scattered around the base.  I'm pretty sure I got this at Arribas Brothers on Main Street back in the 1990s.  The word Disneyland is etched in to the bell jar.  It stands a bit over three inches tall.

I'm asking $25 plus actual shipping.

Vintage Metal Disneyland Castle Salt and Pepper

This item has sold.

Another set from the early days of Disneyland, this is a salt and pepper set shaped just like the Sleeping Beauty Castle at Disneyland.

As you can see in the photo, they have lost some of their shine, but for something that is 50 plus years old, they still retain their charm.

The pair stands two inches tall and three inches wide.  When you pull each side  apart, each has the word Disneyland embossed in the vintage Disneyland font.

I'm asking $15 plus shipping and insurance.

Donald and Daisy Changing Portrait

1995 Disneyland 40th Anniversary Conductor Mickey Plate with Tink

This piece has been sold

In 1995 Disneyland first created a large line of merchandise to celebrate the occasion.  Prior to that point, there would be a few pieces for the Parks birthday, but in 95, they went all out.

One series was a line of plates that showed characters in front of iconic Disney attractions.

This plate shows Mickey, all duded up in a Disneyland Railroad Conductors costume, standing in front of a steam engine with F+Goofy at the throttle.  A petite Tinker Bell is flying above, spreading her own special brand of pixie dust over Disneyland.

I no longer have the original box or the Certificate of Authenticity, but it will be well packed, promise!

I'm asking $30 plus shipping and insurance (usually $5.15 Priority Mail, insurance included).

Vintage Disneyland Tinker Bell Tea Set WDP Still in Original Box

This is a truly rare set from the very early days of Disneyland.

It's a dolls tea set, still in it's original box with it's original price tag of $1.25 (plus tax of course!).  I've seen many pieces of this set over the years but this is the only complete set I have ever seen that is still in its original box.

It's wrapped in some kind of cello wrap which I don't believe is original, but I've never wanted to open it to check,

The graphics on teh box are pure 1950s Disneyland, and the tea set is just as cute as you can imagine.

I'm asking $75 plus shipping and insurance.

1990 Disneyland 35th Anniversary Bisque

Sold

From the 35th anniversary of Disneyland, this was a time when they didn't make quite so much merchandise for each anniversary.  The bottom is marked copyright Disney Japan (remember when they still made fine porcelain in Japan?)

Created of unfired bisque, it shows Donald, barely viable behind Minnie, Mickey and Goofy looking out of one of the turrets of the Sleeping Beauty Castle.

Standing nine inches tall, it's also a music box that plays "When You Wish Upon a Star" (and has a slider so you can turn the music off and on).  The red banner across the front reads 1955-1990.  Goofy is attired in military regalia and is blowing a horn with a banner that shows the "Disneyland 35 Years of Magic" logo.

In perfect condition, I'm asking $50 plus shipping and insurance

Tiny Frosted Glass Tinker Bell

Standing a mere two inches high, this Tinker Bell is made of frosted glass and is perched on one of those crystal blocks that contains a rainbow of colors depending on how you look at it.

I can't say for positive, but to the best of my recollection, I believe I bought her at Arribas Brothers on Main Street in Disneyland.  In any case, I know I got her at Disneyland at least 15 years ago.

Petite and perfect, she's ready to add some pixie dust to your collection.

I'm asking $14 plus postage and insurance

1960 Alice in Wonderland Figure

This piece has sold.

In absolutely perfect condition, this is one of the earlier ceramics sold at Disneyland.

What I love about this piece is that she still has her original foil label that reads 1960 copyright Walt Disney Productions.  Kind of cool that the foil label is still there as most of these have disappeared over the years.

Asking $20 plus actual shipping.

French Crystal Cinderella Perfume Bottle

This has been sold.

A really lovely piece, I have to admit I can't remember when (or where) I got it, but I assume it is from Euro Disneyland (or Disneyland Paris, or whatever they're calling it these days).

Made of heavy very pale blue crystal, she stands six inches tall.  Part of her is frosted and they other clear, which really shows off the face in this lovely piece.  The bottom is marked Copyright Disney Made in France (hard to read, sorry).

A most unusual piece, I'm asking $32 plus actual shipping

Original Club 33 Jacket

This item has sold.

I bought this a few years ago on a visit to Club 33.

I loved the subtlety of it and the fact that it was such a versatile, well made coat.  It has a hood that hides in the collar, a ton of pockets and is extremely warm, while still being lightweight.  As you can see in the photo, there is an embroidered Club 33 logo on the left breast.  I'm also including the bag and tissue they provided when I bought the coat.

So why am I selling it?  Well at the time, I was a bit larger, and this is a 2x.  Now, I'm a bit smaller and there is just no way I can wear this without it looking like a coat that comes down to my knees!

I paid $130 and will sell it for $90 plus actual shipping
