1961 Disneyland Map
Created by the amazing Sam McKim, this map is like taking a trip back in time. 1961 to be exact!
Wow, you can see the Disneyland Hotel the way it was back in the early days, including the heliport, the driving range and the miniature gold coarse. This map also shows the never completed Liberty Street and Edison Square. And what fun it is to see where they thought attractions would be placed (and where we now know where they would eventually land, try to find the Haunted House!)
Also included are such missed attractions as the Skyway, the Chicken of the Sea, the Monsanto Hall of Chemistry, and so many more.
I've spent hours pouring over these old maps, discovering so many hidden treasures. Like I say, a trip back in time.
There is some wear at the folds that clearly shows if you enlarge the picture. That said, it displays beautifully. A chance to visit the Disneyland of days gone by.
I'm asking $80 plus shipping and insurance.
Please PM me on Facebook if you're interested.
